Gong Bath with Dawn McKelvie

Friday 6th December 2024 - 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Cost per person: £33
We are thrilled to welcome the awesome Dawn McKelvie back to the Hub. We’ve missed you! This event is sure to be very popular, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Our session begins with gently focusing on the breath, guiding you to a place of calm, before setting and focusing on an intention for your sound journey.
Dawn will create a safe and nurturing space for you to experience the deeply relaxing and rejuvenating effects of the gongs, accompanied by a range of grounding and angelic sound healing instruments.

A gong bath meditation is a wonderful opportunity to unwind and de-stress and doesn’t require you to do anything other than to get comfy and lay down with your eyes closed, whilst the vast array of sounds wash over you.

The gong is said to be the most effective and transformative sound healing tool that we have. Everything around us is made up of vibration, including you! This is why the frequencies are able to retune you, bringing you back to your optimum state of wellbeing. Working on the physical, emotional, mental and energy body; the sounds are able to take you out of disharmony and through entrainment realign you to a natural harmonious state.

After the gongs have finished playing we will have a few minutes of silence before the soundscape gently takes you on another magical journey. Weaving in the sounds from a collection of over 70 sound healing instruments from around the world.
We will end with a final and very powerful silence, known as Sunyata. This is a quiet time, enabling the sounds to gently settle, whilst you slowly bring your awareness back to your surroundings.

Kirtan & Curry with Michelle Crozier

Saturday 14th December 2024 - 6:30pm to 9:00pm
Cost per person: £25

Chanting lifts the spirit and reconnects us to our heart centre. It’s a well-known fact that singing mantras has a very positive impact on mental health by reducing the levels of stress.

Join me for this amazing, uplifting, and joyful singing meditation known as kirtan. Mantras are sung in a mixture of Sanskrit – which is an ancient Indian language with a high vibration and also some English.

No previous experience in Sanskrit or singing required… all are welcome.

Singing Mantras are from the path of Bhakti Yoga (yoga of devotion, pure love and compassion … especially for yourself). They produce healing vibrations that take you out of your busy mind and connect you to your heart. This can create oneness with those around you and integrate your mind, body, and spirit.

Heal, relax, and re-energise through the power of sharing your authentic voice. The invitation is to sing, play percussion, meditate, dance, or just bathe in the sounds.

Join us after Kirtan for a communal supper of vegan curry in the relaxed surroundings of Kent Wellbeing Hub.
